Socialism and Capitalism Essay - 550 Words

Socialism and Capitalism (Essay Sample) Content: Socialism and capitalismStudents NameInstitutionSocialism and capitalismModels of organizing economic activities for any given country have two different alternatives, Capitalism and Socialism. Capitalism is referred to control, and private ownership of production means whereas socialism is the joint ownership and control of means of production (William, 2008). Socialism is usually known as government ownership and direct control of production means. The two systems have their disadvantage and disadvantages, and it is not possible that the economy have pure socialist or capitalistic system (Peter, 2003).There is Market efficiency in a capitalistic economy as supply and demand is achieved, and shortages and surplus are maintained at a minimum (Peter, 2003). A good example is the case of demand for food, which is met by food suppliers and food is made available to those who can afford. The other advantage is Economic freedom and prosperity. Every person can benefit from the success through private accomplishments. Capitalism gives every citizen an opportunity to create personal wealth because of the chance to build ones own wealth.Capitalism is associated with economic inequality and countries that practice it have a wide gap between ultra-rich and homeless people. The other disadvantage is the fact that there are unfair economic competitions. In capitalism, infant firms suffer very harsh competition, as in the case of Wal-Mart (Peter, 2003). Capitalism encourages outsourcing of services from overseas resulting to unemployment in the country practicing capitalism. It also encourages greed among the players as everyone fights to accumulate as much wealth as they can even at the expense of other people. On the other hand, socialistic system unlike capitalism ensures that there is economic equality by ensuring that everyone gets equal payment. Every person has equal opportunity to the benefits of public services such as social security, universal heal th-care, public transit and many others (Peter, 2003). Though it does not occasionally occur, socialism ensures that whoever wants to get a job gets the job of choice.Socialism has a number of disadvantages and the first is the difficulty in managing large organizations. It is because geometric proportion increases with the increase in size (William, 2008). Most of the governments that practice centralized control affect motivation and creativity of individuals in a negative way. Under this system, people usually suffer from little to no incentives, as payment is the same regardless of the work one has done. The other disadvantage is inefficiency resulting from government intervention, for example, by setting prices below the market price, which leads to a shortage. Socialistic system bestows much power on the government, and the citizen cannot trust government in most cases as they are usually influenced politically (William, 2008). Finally, there is an in...

Octet Rule Definition in Chemistry

The octet rule in chemistry is the principle  that bonded atoms share their eight outer electrons. This gives the atom a valence shell resembling that of a noble gas.  The octet rule is a rule that is sometimes broken. However, it applies to carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, the halogens, and most metals, especially the alkali metals and alkaline earths. A Lewis electron dot diagram may be drawn to illustrate the octet rule. In such a structure, electrons shared in a covalent bond between two atoms are counted twice (once for each atom). Other electrons are counted once. Sources Abegg, R. (1904). Die Valenz und das periodische System. The Death Of A Ball Turret Gunner - 1430 Words

Since the beginning of time, humans have sought after power and control. It is human instinct to desire to be the undisputed champion, but when does it become a problem? Warfare has been practiced throughout civilization as a way to justify power. Though the orders come directly from one man, thousands of men and women pay the ultimate sacrifice. In Randall Jerrell’s â€Å"The Death of a Ball Turret Gunner†, Jarrell is commenting on the brutality of warfare. Not only does Jarrell address the tragedies of war, he also blames politics, war leaders, and the soldier’s acknowledgement of his duties. (Hill 6) With only five lines of text, his poems allows the reader to understand what a soldier can go through. With the use of Jerrell’s poem, The Vietnam War, and Brian Turner’s â€Å"Ameriki Jundee†, the truth of combat will be revealed. To understand what a soldier goes through, Jerrell’s poem must be explored. His poem’s time era is important, it taking place during World War Two, because it was the most prominent war America has faced. The title alone tells the reader that someone has died. Immediately in the first line, Jerrell reveals the speaker of the poem is retelling his death story. In the first line, Jerrell talks about him being in his mother’s belly and then falling into the state. By his mother, he means the B-17 bomber. Who Can Blame The Poor Little Demon - 1596 Words

or not to eat an apple from the forbidden tree. Milton’s makes Satan an interesting character, almost a hero, although unwilling to repent, simply seeking his rightful place and when he cannot, and will not, he goes after God’s prized creations. Who can blame the poor little demon? Aren’t we accustomed to routing for the underdog? Milton gives Satan the gift of gab, intelligence and our viewpoint, which makes us see his point of view. Of all the poets who have introduced into their works the agency of supernatural beings, says McColley, Milton has succeeded best (McColley 71; emphasis added). Evidence for this can be seen as the action of the entire epic unfolds. In Book III, when Christ is introduced and is observing the†¦show more content†¦Myself am Hell, he says later (IV, 75), but continues his initiative partially out of the potential for mortification among his fellow devils, and partially because he anticipates that his own egotism would resurface predictably: For never can true reconcilement grow Where wounds of deadly hate have pierc d so deep (IV, 98-9). Satan has made the bed of his deviant divinity through his actions, and now he is obliged to lie in it. For Milton, Satan was the archetypal tyrant. His reign in hell is the express antitype of the reign of the Son of God by merit in Heaven. It is not the courage of Satan s revolt against God that counts; it is the ambition which betrays him into what Arnold Stein calls the trap of leadership (Hughes 179). Another contrast we find is the manner in which Milton’s interjects similarities to Greek Mythology, such as representing Satan as a type of Prometheus. Prometheus bears undoubtedly a considerable resemblance to the Satan of Milton. In both characters we find the same impatience of control, the same ferocity, the same unconquerable pride. In both characters also are mingled, though in very different proportions, some kind and generous feelings. Prometheus, however, is hardly superhuman enough. Satan is a creature of another sphere. The might of his intellectual nature is victorious over the

As a result of all this, it becomes mandatory for marketers to study the market requirements and frequently come up with the new product developments. In recent times, there has been a paradigm shift from push form to pull form of marketing. With the increase government regulation, customer awareness and focus on corporate social responsibility, organizations have changed their strategy to societal marketing. This marketing also aims to educate the customers and spread awareness (King, Mcvey, Simmons, 2000). Also, these days companies also have a lot of data to analyze and to understand customer requirements in a true sense. All the organizations engage customers on facebook, twitter and many other sites. The purpose of this is marketing, publicity and to gain insights about customer preferences and requirements at the same time. There is huge amount of data that is gathered from these social media tools and then there are software technology of analytics which when applied on a he amount of data helps to find the trends. While earlier approach of organizations was making profits by selling aggressively, this type of marketing focus on selling products that are more aligned to customers need and also helps in the welfare of the society in the long term. For the welfare of the society and increased regulations, organizations these days have a spate corporate social responsibility (CSR) unit. These CSR units works on the social responsibility of the corporations towards the society. For example, Companies will organize marathons for awareness about several issues (Chattanonon, Lawley, Trimesoontorn, Leelayouthayothin, 2007). Many companies are also focussing on CSR in Australia also. Myer and Qantas Airlines are in headlines from long time about their societal marketing. Qantas has also identified its carbon footprint and now collaborating with various environmental organizations across the world to reduce its carbon footprint. With the help of technology, they have drastically reduce the use of paper from their operations. Initially, these used to serve plastic bottle of water in flights to each passenger which also they have changed. Now, they offer water in glasses so as to consume less plastic (Meyer, 2004). Qantas publishes its report about its operations and CSR initiatives every year to be transparent with the consumers. Qantas also uses twitter to encourage feedback from customers and constantly making changes so as to provide better experience. Myer also have identified its social responsibility. They are also helping the environment by making their operations leans and reducing the consumption of paper (Meyer, 2004). Myer also have strong impact on the life of the people by focusing on the well being of the community. They invest heavily in the development of local communities and thus makes a impactful contribution in the life of the people. Myer also has a philanthropic fund that is maintained purely with the intention of helping the societies in their well being (Dundon, Wilkinson, 2014). Labeling and packaging has become very important these days and all the organizations should spend time on these aspects also. Packaging is one the important aspect to attract customers and also it can improve the shelf life of the products. Also, Labeling is required to give exact information what are the ingredients that goes into making this products, the various information about the product, this product is suited to which group. If the labeling is good and informative, it will help customers to identify themselves more with the brand and brand will also be able to build the trust. There is separate state framework for this where it has been clearly identified what all information manufacturers need to share with customers. There was issue recently when country of origin missing in many products. However, later this becomes a rule. Australians prefers to eat more Australian origin food to support local farmers and also as well as to continue food manufacturing in Australia (Kotl er, Burton, Deans, Brown, Armstrong, 2015). Also, Companies are also adopting latest packaging techniques that tend to provide better packaging with much less use of paper and other raw material. Labelling and packaging also have a role to play in societal marketing. Honest labeling will help customer to take better decisions about what they want. Conclusion To conclude, it has been discussed that organizations are changing their marketing strategy worldwide in order to provide more value to customers by becoming more sensitive to their requirements and this is exactly the concept of societal marketing. Australian companies are also not untouched by it. There are many organizations in Australia that are using societal marketing to provide products to customers aligned to their own needs. This also prevents any mis selling and thus able to build better trust between corporate and citizens and thus helps in the welfare of the society. There is no doubt that recognizing social responsibility and then taking initiative to fulfill responsibility also demands investments but it is worth to gain the acceptance in the society. It also helps in improving the image of the corporates among the people and thus results in increase in sales although this is not the motive but this is the result of the honest CSR activities. The Tradition of Writing free essay sample

It was not until I went to Bogota, Colombia, that I realized I came from a family of writers. My grandfather had written many articles about the tense political situation in Colombia, and was currently working on a memoir. Before him came his aunt and cousin, the novelists. The excitement on his face was both encouraging and heartening when I said I wanted to be a writer. The tradition that started generations ago would be passed on. I was unaware of my heritage three years before, when writing my novel transformed my life. Much of my free time in those three years was devoted to researching, writing, and revising my manuscript. I spent days glued to my computer typing paragraph after paragraph, page after page, finally finishing my 750-page novel. Just as my ancestors did, I immersed myself in the culture of the world, learning about each topic. The research for my novel led me to gather interesting and exciting information I never would have learned otherwise, from the history of the Roman Empire to the Bose-Einstein condensates to the best bakeries in Paris. We will write a custom essay sample on The Tradition of Writing or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page The literary members of my family understood, as I have begun to, that learning is just as important as the writing itself. I have discovered that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Since I come from a diverse background, I identify myself as unique and multifaceted. I look forward to studying in a metropolitan area because it will expose me to different backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and cultures that will widen my experience. Studying creative writing at college has been my passion since I discovered my enthusiasm and determination to write. It was hard work to finish my novel, but I enjoyed the process and what it gave me. That it also provided me with a link to my past is incredibly important to me. The legacy that my family created over the generations is remarkable and something that I hope to continue in college and throughout my lifetime.

In this mind, a voice is irate with its physical condition. A drowsy, heavy-eyed beast that desires slumber after its brain has acquired knowledge. This is how companies are being seen, lethargically feeble. To believe that you should slumber whilst your brain desires work is a ludicrous stipulation for any entity. Discovering a weary body, may become a route that ensues when the brain commences its deliberation. Which contradicts the purpose of testing that requires one’s own mind and poses moot inquiries in times of creativity. Producing low scores is not the outcome of stupidity, it demonstrates the difference between those who are one tracked minded versus those who comprise of immense convoluted inventiveness and are ready to pounce against multitudinous canvases pending their creativity. Leaders do not overseer the humility of their hearts, they follow what they feel is respectable and moral. For belligerence is not to be fooled with, it is the key to a lurid reputation. It was not legislated that leaders must follow political outlooks. Politics are creating platforms for idiots in society. As the brain works inside this heavy-eyed beast, the aversion to the politics of excuses stating why an individual is out of regulation is a justifiable reason as to why I may be spurned at the notion of injustice, the glibness behind liberty and its misunderstood definition of ‘Freedom.’ Time to catalog the hearts of humility and chart the minds of creativity to watch those intellectually artistic people vehemently announce their presence in this world because it is time for those to transpire a forbearing fact: communion. The virtuous peace and love we all deserve while interlocking our diminished deeds with our over looked lopped sins, for the reason that time has no date; which, to legislate a more palatable and ardent conundrum for those oblivious bastards is essentially right but, with much apathy, is politically wrong. It is in these very reasons that foundations fail, people are unemployed, overworked, and tired. Management, administration, and superiors who have a title but none of the necessary skills for improvement are causing negative economic landslides. Issues have arisen and superiors are overlooking what needs to be fixed, but this heavy-eyed beast that slumbers whilst his brain works is beginning to become annoyed at the injustices and mistreatment of policy, rules, and under trained superiors that have not any principled sense. Sample Essay About Syrian Refugees

Sample Essay About Syrian RefugeesHaving a sample essay about Syrian refugees in your college or university is an excellent way to get started on writing interesting, original and topical essays. It is also a good way to write about current events and the pressing issues of our time. So, what can you do with a sample essay about Syrian refugees?I wrote a popular short story about the migrant crisis in Europe. Now, I have it published as part of my novel and it's getting great reviews and praise. That one essay about Syrian refugees made the book go from a writer's outline to a completed manuscript in just a few days.A few years ago, I asked a few high school students for their opinion on the Syrian refugee crisis. My students suggested I write about the refugee experience in English. This was a very quick turnaround, as the students had actually written about Syrian refugees in their own words on college paper. It was a completely unscripted (but completely true) account of hand exper ience at first hand. And that was the secret to their success: they had something to say about what they had learned in class. The key to this sample essay is telling the truth about what you learned in class. All too often, students are pressured by their professors to do exactly what they think their professor wants them to say. By getting permission to say your own opinion, you get permission to go beyond what the professor says. It is also an opportunity to reach your own audience with original and relevant ideas. You may have read that the best sources of information are your peers, your college professor and your church pastor. But in writing a sample essay about Syrian refugees, your teachers and your church pastor will never have the same audience as your peers or your college professor. So if you want to give a speech at your church or talk to your friends, you must give them what they want. One of the best things you can do is to write a sample essay. Once you have the basic ideas down, try to use the essay to tell the world what you know and don't know about Syria.

In other words, my first reaction would be to seek for external assistance to effectively facilitate the birth of the baby. Additionally, I would examine the patient's mental and physical well-being to reduce other existing barriers that could interfere with the unborn child. Therefore, in helping the birth of the baby, arranging for emergency missions while providing social care is critical to assist in tests and evaluations. Considering the evidence-based outcome in regards to individual care ensures that the delivery of the placenta and membranes match the health care needs and objectives of the pregnant woman. Putting the patient through anxiety management programs and behavior sessions aids in reducing nervousness that could interfere with the advanced labor (Hannon & Clift, 2010).

Financial management consists of four elements. The financial manager takes the necessary steps to identify and organize the organizations objectives. This is the element called Planning. Controlling is when the financial manager ensures that the plans set by the organization are being followed properly and efficiently. The financial manager then makes the decision of how to use the resources of the organization to carry out the plans that have been established. This is where the organizing and directing comes in. Accounting Principles and Financial Ethics Standards It is very important that accounting and financial professionals abide by the ethical standards that regulate what kind of business is conducted, how they use their skills and who they serve. This is called Gernerally Accepted  Accounting Pricinples. Ethical standards are determined largely by professional accounting and finance organizations and the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Accountants and financial professionals must continue their education and practice the ethics that prepare them for their positions, and they must also continue that education by learning new information that can affect their practices. Accountants must be objective, avoiding conflicts of interest. They must not, for instance, perform accounting services for firms that they have a vested interest in. When working with a clients financial information, financial professionals have access to a great deal of personal information. This is not only limited to financial information but also includes the names and contact information of employees as well as the names and locations of firms with which the company does business. Financial professionals are required to keep that information private except when ordered to disclose it by a court of law. Keeping information private is an example of an ethical standard. Another example of ethical standards of conduct and financial reporting practices would be the company Enron. Enron is a company known for its ethical scandals. Enron was unethical due to the fraud that was committed by its top executives. On paper the accountants made Enron more powerful than they appeared. Subsidiaries, known as special purpose entities have a single purpose and it was not necessary that they were included on Enrons balance sheet. These subsidiaries were used to hide risky investment activities and financial losses. (Folger, 2011). It was later determied that Enron assets and profits were inflated, and even fraudulent and non-existent. Enron was one of the worst accounting scandals of all time. Conclusion With the Enron scandal, organization ethics are more important now than ever, but not only does it make a businesses practice sound, it also allows the employees of the organization to go by a higher standard of integrity in their daily functions. It is more critical in health care settings than any other environments that there is an ethical foundation. It is important that health care staff conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, and respect for others and health care organizations must adopt standards of professional practice and having ethics is critical to the care patients  receive. . Depression and Antidepressants Essay -- Chemistry Depression Papers

Depression and Antidepressants Specifically the serotonergic hypothesis and the action of Prozac The cause of Clinical depression has long been a mystery to physicians and researchers. Many different theories have been proposed, but no conclusive evidence has been put forth. However, most of what we know about depression stems from the results of certain drugs which have been successful in treating the clinically depressed. These anti--depressants have led to the assumption that depression is most likely due to a chemical imbalance (of neurotransmitters) which somehow leads to the symptoms of depression. To try and write a paper on all the theories of depression would be endless, as would be a study on all the different types of anti-depressants. Therefore I have tried to focus my paper on the serotonin hypothesis for depression, and more specifically how the serotonergic anti-depressants have backed up this theory. Of course, Any paper on serotonin-based anti-depressants must include the popular Prozac. Because of the excitement And controversy surrounding Prozac, I decided to channel most of my paper into the action of this so-called "wonder drug". Fluoxetine is a second-generation anti-depressant which was developed and marketed as PROZAC by the drug company Eli Lilly. This drug is increasingly being prescribed by physicians as the primary anti-depressant when a patient requires pharmacotherapy. This is mainly due to fluexotine’s reduced side affects as compared with the older tricyclic anti-depressants. Fluoxetine is known to act as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor in brain synapses where serotonin is the neurotransmitter. However, an exact mechanism has not born elucidated. Corporate Reputation

Success of TIC was linked to the innovative business models to deliver shared value for both societies and shareholders, by leveraging synergies cross businesses to create new differentiated products and superior value propositions. This was also the period when TIC thought of working towards building an ecosystem rather than trying to protecting it. In true sense, It differentiated itself from the rest of world in such a manner that the competitors were left behind by at least two generations. Sole purpose tot TIC was to serve as a market anchor to the entire value chains. As Shari Y. C. Devonshire, present chairman of TIC Ltd said, â€Å"A country's brands are a reflection of its competitive strengths and a manifestation of its innovation and intellectual capacity. I strongly believe that a country's economic capacity is significantly enriched when its institutions build and own internationally competitive brands. Winning brands serve as market anchors to support the competitivenes s of the entire value chains of which they are a part Strong domestic brands create much larger value since they create, capture and retain value within the country.Your Company (TIC) takes justifiable pride in creating world-class Indian brands that have demonstrated Immense vitality in the global Indian market place. † Several initiatives which were way different from the conventional marketing mantra ere introduced by TIC and it created a value chain that connected a wide range of stakeholders from the villagers, peasants to the end users. E- Copula, social and ‘Offs initiatives. These laid platforms that connected the rural India to the rest of the world; creating a two way transaction flow. Also it focused on delivering triple bottom line. Flipping through the past: As mentioned, TIC has faced many ups and downs since its inception and the experience it carried forward throughout its Journey helped the organization work on many initiatives which were way unconvention al. It pioneered the idea of â€Å"cataloging and channeling investments towards upgrading of human capital expansion and modernization of infrastructure and productivity enhancement in the agric-sector. † The rationale of the idea was to create a shared value in terms of â€Å"a commitment beyond the market†.For Ashes Mamba's, vice president and head of Social investment, business could and should never overlook the twin problems of India, â€Å"economic inequity and depleting natural resources†. TIC being traditionally a agriculture based company, couldn't ignore both these factors invested everything engendering these two factors in mind. Creating a societal as well as shareholder value: The key to achieve and sustain economic growth of modern India, as identified by TIC, was simply â€Å"by enhancing the competitiveness of the Indian farmer and effectively linking them to remunerative opportunities in the world market. Since agriculture was the primary mean er of livelihood of more than 58. 4% population of India and with agriculture being the base of It's business, TIC worked for the betterment of the farmers thereby making its base strong for the future endeavor. E-Copula was a challenging business concept that was meant to embed the social goals of empowering the farmers and trigger a cycle of higher productivity, enlarged capacity for future investments.E-Copula was digitization of the agricultural sector thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the agric value chain. Real time information and customized knowledge provided e-Copula enhanced farmers' ability to make decisions and align their farm outputs with market and consumer demand. This was meant to build a system of trust with the farmers â€Å"as a reliable supplier of goods and reveries on the one hand and as a buyer of high quality, cost effective farm output on the other hand. This finally resulted the company to become one of the largest exporters of agricultural product s. 4-pronged strategy to tackle Climate Change: By the end of 2009, TIC unveiled its 4-pronged strategy to meet challenges of climate change. It was voluntary and transparent disclosure of the Company's sustainability initiatives and its contribution to building economic, environmental and social capital to secure the long term interests of its stakeholders.Recognizing the challenges of limited change and global warming and its impact on competitiveness, TIC has adopted decisive strategies to progress its own efforts to support national and international endeavors in mitigating the effects of climate change. TIC is ‘carbon positive' for 4 consecutive years, currently sequestering twice the amount of carbon status, creating rainwater harvesting potential that is more than twice that consumed by the Company. Irrigating water stressed areas is a critical need following the impact of climate change on Indian's farming sector. It's sustainable agricultural raciest also help farmers adapt to the vagaries of climate change. [www. Doctoral. Com] Integration, synergy and growth: The goal of inclusive and sustainable growth: â€Å"The goal of inclusive and sustainable growth – the philosophy underlying the Triple Bottom Line approach – is based on the realization that economic growth cannot be engendered without embracing the vast multitudes living in poverty and addressing the alarming depletion of finite natural resources.Over 75% of those below the poverty line reside in rural India, where agriculture continues to be the predominant resource of livelihood. The declining share of agriculture in GAP has led to the present situation where nearly 60% of Indian's population shares barely 22% of output. In terms of the foundational view of Dry. Mammary Seen, poverty manifests itself not only as material impoverishment but also in the lack of capacity for the poor to emerge from such a condition.Such fundamental deprivations of freedom suffered by indivi duals affect their economic performance as well as their ability to seize opportunities offered by functioning and expanding markets. Inclusive and sustainable growth is therefore crucially dependent on creating the capacity to consume among the rural poor. † Riding in the belief of inclusive growth, TIC committed itself to India and beyond the market. With the initiatives like â€Å"farm to food product value chain†, † tree to textbook value chain†, â€Å"aggregate value chain† â€Å"women's empowerment†, TIC not only proved its commitment beyond business motive but also established itself as an organization which put nation before company. The problem: The problem in front of TIC is two-fold: 1. With its strong value chain linking the rural ND urban economies, especially the fact that rural marketing is the core competence of TIC, should the conglomerate invest in livestock development program so that it can enter into the dairy business? . If the answer of the previous question is yes, then how should the company go about it? Should it consider a pure business model or like several other C.V. initiatives, it should work on a model of shared value connecting the villagers in the value chain? Options: 1 . Simply working on a business model by adhering to the law of the land and paying due taxes without exploiting or exploring the natural resources. . Not restricting to only business but working for the societal good by investing on philanthropic work. . Going beyond CAR to help out the Nags, self help service providers of the villages to develop and work for the community betterment. 4. Create a sustainable value chain as its other initiatives by leveraging the innovative capacity of the organization and economic development. Recommendation: With the objective of bringing about a significant increase in yield rates during the lactation period, TIC stepped up its breed improvement program initiated in 2004-05.From 32 Cattl e Development Centers (CDC) at the close of 2004- 05, the number increased to 72 CDC covering 1 ,500 villages during 2005-06. A total of 27,392 Artificial Insemination (Ass) were conducted during the period, taking the cumulative total to 46,200. The program recorded 3,531 live births during 2005-06, taking the cumulative total to 5,544 high- yielding crossbreeds. The most significant breakthrough in Mugger, Briar, was that the tie-up with Sudan Dairy (COMBED) for supply of milk from this region finally became a reality. TIC portal] Since, TIC already has a huge experience in the rural arrest developing program and a strong commitment towards the society, it can defiantly work on the dairy business by enabling families to upgrade to high-yield livestock and form co-operatives to market their milk. In this process TIC can turn a dormant family resource into an easily adoptable and dynamic rural enterprise. TIC can train and equip technicians to provide an integrated package consistin g of artificial insemination, cattle health and nutrition, pregnancy and post-natal services right at the farmer's doorstep. This development can also act as a bridge to link its DOD business by providing self sufficiency and thereby, in long term enabling a greater value creation. Examples from other industry: As an example of value chain system of an organization to strengthen its base, we would like to discuss about GAMMA and its most trusted brand, Maul. Of course, there is a difference between Maul and TIC about the kind of organization they are, but in terms of C.V., Maul can provide a good example.CAR-sensitive Business Philosophy: The first step towards discharging the CAR is the business philosophy of the GAMMA. It is twofold: one, to serve the interests of milk producers and second, to provide laity products to consumers as value for money. Evolution of an organizational system has ensured that the corporate social responsibility towards the primary milk producers, village and the ecological balance is fulfilled. The milk producers are paid for their milk in accordance with market forces and realization of value for their produce.Invariably the price paid to the member-producers in Gujarat is higher by 15 per cent than the national average. [1] CAR-orientation To Distributors ; Retailers: The GAMMA has identified the distributors and retailers are its important link in its o not get any opportunity of exposure to latest management practices. The GAMMA realized that it was a corporate social responsibility to strengthen the core business processes of its distributors so as to keep them in mainstream business and compete with those with formal training in management. The GAMMA has developed and trained all its distributors through Value-Mission-strategy Workshops, competence building, Maul Hyatt, Maul Quality Circle meetings, computerizing, and electronic commerce activities. Competency Building Module of the GAMMA is meant to infuse repressions selling skills by making the distributors and their salesmen aware of latest sales management tools and techniques; enhance their knowledge of products; positioning and segmentation strategies for various products.Through one to one talk with the farmers, the distributors and salesmen realize MAUL is a large business of small farmers and by selling MAUL products; they are discharging a social responsibility towards a large number of poor farmers whose livelihood depends upon their skill and integrity. Essay about King Lear - Seven Deadly Sins - 1206 Words

King Lear: The Seven Deadly Sins The Seven Deadly Sins In the play King Lear Shakespeare demonstrates the tragedy that can occur once humans allow themselves to be taken over by any one of the seven deadly sins. Greed The sin of greed is perfectly exemplified in the character of Edmund. Throughout the play Edmund’s greed is the motivating factor behind all of the decisions that he makes. Edmund, as the illegitimate son of Gloucester plots against his brother in order to obtain his inheritance completely ignoring all familial responsibility in the pursuit of land and money. Wrath At the beginning of the play King Lear denounces Cordelia as his daughter in a fit of rage. He has this reaction simply because she refused to flatter him and speak exaggerations of her love for him. As his favourite daughter, Lear was expecting Cordelia to shower him with compliments and praises like his other two daughters and when this did not occur he was overwhelmed with fury and denounces her as his daughter. Lear also falls victim to wrath once he realizes what his other two daughters have done to him. â€Å"I will have such revenges on you both, That all the world shall--I will do such things,-- What they are, yet I know not: but they shall be The terrors of the earth.† (2.4.305-9). In this quote Lear reveals the wrath that he wishes to inflict on both of his daughters for deceiving him and rejecting him after he gave them everything he had. King Lear’s wrath is fueled by his daughters’ betrayal. Lear never actually did proceed to inflict his wrath upon his daughters but he did however have every intention of doing so if given the opportunity.
